THE FORGIVENESS

THE FORGIVENESS
* Does God forgive?

YES! GOD FORGIVES SIN, NO MATTER HOW BIG
Amazing as it is, God who detests evil and stands against anything associated with unrighteousness, still loves and cares for all manners of sinners! It is not the will of the Almighty that ANY PERSON should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. What a kind and loving God He is!

The story was told of a young man many years ago who sold himself to the liquor bottles. One day, he drank himself into stupor and fell by the roadside. A passer-by picked him up and nursed him back to soberness. The stranger then told him that Jesus can save him from his slave attachment to strong drinks, adding that instead of giving him happiness, strong drinks only make a fool, a public nuisance and a pauper out of its victim. This stranger reminded the drunkard that “wine is a mocker and beer, a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise” (Prov. 20:1).

The young man went home very sober. He thought about his life-all he had spent on and lost to liquor, the shame and reproach he had suffered on account of drunkenness and the opportunities he had missed. While still in deep thought, he fell into a trance and it was shown him that this type of foolishness was in his family pedigree. He came out of that revelative trance with a start and reached for a tract which a preacher had earlier given him. It was as if the tract writer knew and addressed every detail of his life.

At this point, there was no escape for him. The picture was too clear to him and there was only one choice left for him if he was to survive. He dashed down the street to a nearby church that he always ridiculed as a gathering point of jobless lazy people who have no purpose in life.

Just as he was entering the church, he came face-to-face with an old friend he saw last some 20 years ago. It was this friend that God had met and blessed who led him to give his life to Jesus Christ. Since that day, this young man had remained sober and three years down the line, God gave him a miracle new job that changed everything about his financial life for the better. Today, he serves Jesus in many important capacities and his life is getting better by the day. The good God who did all these for that young man is ready and willing to do the same and more for you.

The best news is that God is willing to clear you of all sins, no matter how big you think it is! From heaven above, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the penalty that ALL your sins can ever attract irrespective of how plenteous or how heinous your sins may be. Your sins are no longer the problem; the problem is, will you accept that Jesus had taken care of all of them? Here’s a very strong statement from the word of God: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:8. Therefore no matter your level in sin. God is ever ready, even now as you are perusing this tract, to save and make you His child.

Why not amend your sinful ways today? Which sin has caged and kept you in captivity? Jesus has broken its power. Thank God that you are alive today to seek him while he may be found, call on him while he is near, let the wicked (the sin laddened) forsake his way and the evil his thoughts (of corruption, cheating, playing pranks on others) and call on him and to our God for he will freely pardon” Isaiah 55:6-7. Satan is a big liar and father of all liars who keeps holding his prey with strong weapon of doubt (Gen 3:1). Don’t be a stooge, get up and approach your maker in repentance and he will restore and crown you again. If the prodigal (the wasted) son could be restored, the wayward forgiven, the harlot made whole, the thief granted mercy and made to be with Jesus, why think that God will not forgive, restore and give you all that the devil has taken from you?

Have you taken what belongs to others? Go for restitution. Have you killed through words of month, reach out to God who is full of mercy, for he will abundantly pardon. Jesus remains the answer to all your questions in life. Why not come to Him today and obtain mercy from the throne of grace? Don’t allow self pity and all around you to stop you from taking this giant stride because limitless pardon is prepared for who will acknowledge their sinful nature and accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. May the grace that flows from the throne of God catch up with you to rethink so that heaven can rejoice for your home-coming in Jesus name, Amen.

If you are bless by this article, why not tell a friend about it.
