THE TWO NATIONS - CHAPTER ONE

They lived two families in a certain country. They were both married and they live happily, but later things began to change the way it were. One of the families: Mr. Benson's family.

One day Mr. Benson had an issue with his wife Nancy to a point he couldn’t control his temper, so he beats up his wife before his children, raining curses and insults on his wife and children. This kept happening every day. He refused giving his wife money for food but expecting his wife to cook.

When he comes back from work and sees no food on the table he will beat up his wife asking her what her duty is in the house. But he will use the money he supposed to give his wife to cook at home to eat and drink outside.

Every day he comes back late in the night and drunk with wine. When his wife discovered he is drunk, the wife and kids will refuse to open the door for him because he might beat them up. So he will sleep outside laying curses, insulting and calling his wife and children all kinds of names like monkey, bootons, baboons and so on.

He taught his children bad behavior, indiscipline instead of staying stronger building his family, fighting for them and providing for them. And he did this on daily basis teaching his children bad habit like smoking, gambling and internet fraud popularly known in African countries as Yahoo Yahoo!! He had three children namely: John, Sam and Cynthia, they were spoiled brat.

In school Mr. Benson’s children do not concentrate in their studies because of the problems they had at home every day. They had to drop out from school because the father refuses to pay their school fees.

The children began doing minor jobs like tailoring, auto mechanic and carpentry jobs without passion and interest in the job. The first son John was a mechanic, he steals spare parts from customer’s vehicle, sell them and lie to the owners that the car has develop more complications whereas he is the one behind the complications.

The second son, Sam was sent away from his tailoring job, because he didn’t concentrate in learning, he goes to work late, insults other apprentices in the workshop that would have helped put him through anytime he comes to work late. But he didn’t even care because of pride.

One day his boss tested him and other apprentice to cut a customer’s cloth after one year of his apprenticeship. Other apprentice succeeded cutting their clothes and started sewing but John couldn’t and he didn’t want them to help him. So he spoilt the customer’s clothes because he always pretends to know whereas he doesn’t.

His boss who doesn’t tolerate nonsense and have been tolerating him, tried all his possible best to impact something in him but to no avail. So when he discovers he is not learning, and all his efforts yielded no result he sent him away. 

One day as Mr. Benson went to work; due to his un-serious behavior at work, he was fired. As a result of this, he returned home frustrated. When he got home his wife asked him money for food since he left in the morning without dropping any money for food. They whole family were staying hungry since morning. He asked his wife what’s her duty as a wife in the house.

So when the wife continued asking him for money not knowing what has happened to him at work, he slapped his wife and they started fighting. The children were defending their mother. Some were injured from the fight. 

So that day, there was no communication between both parents. Mr. Benson went out in the night to a bar to drink, smoke to clear his mind as he believed. So he spend the whole night outside with different women. And since there was no work for him anymore, he became a tout at the bus stations.
