Few weeks later, his mother thought about the idea of sending her
son Chukwudi to school but she could not afford the school bills given to her
by the school principal.
Eventually, she was able to gather money and she send Chukwudi to
school to learn. Chukwudi started primary one at the age of sixteen. His mates
were in Senior Secondary School. They would laugh at him for being in primary
school at his age.
Every day the students would make mockery of him. He became a
subject of mockery everyday in school. Chukwudi was sober; still he didn’t mind
them for he believed that sooner or later it would be a story to tell. He was
very serious in his studies and was determined to make his mother proud.
He was the best student from his primary one to primary six and he
was given award and scholarship to study at the federal government college in
Enugu. He was performing excellently well. He eventually finished his secondary
education and he made all his papers and was the best student of the year.
The school decided to give
him a scholarship to study at Oxford University in America. He showed his
mother the scholarship and he asked his mother to go with him so he won’t miss
her. His mother considered and followed him to America.
Afterward, Chukwudi started school in Oxford University and he was
doing very well in his academics. Four years later he passed out with a first
class degree. After his graduation, he started working as part time worker in
two different companies which he was well paid because of his degree of
excellence.
Chukwudi decided to further his education in the same school to
acquire his master’s degree in his engineering studies. After his master degree
programme, three different oil companies was seeking to employed
Chukwudi with begging just to work for them even if it’s just five hours per
day from the time of resumption.
So he decided to go for one of the companies which he considered
to be the best for his career and intentions. He was well paid and taken care
of as the best company’s staff ever employed. He won several awards for his
company and for himself. Years later, he got married and happily lived with his
family and mother.
