Mr. Benson became the most intimidated tout at
the bus station. He stays at the bus station collecting money from the bus
drivers illegally every day since he has no good job doing.
If the bus driver refuses to give him money, He
will beat them up and illegally collect all their money from them and sent them
away all because he was huge in size and even other touts at the bus station
were afraid of him.
Sometimes if the driver refuses to give him
money, he will seize their vehicles and pursue the passengers away. When he got
home he will visit the rest room to count the money so that his family will not
see it. When his children or wife asks him for money or anything, he will
not give it to them and if they disturb him so much for money he will beat them
up and tell them, haven’t you seen that I was fired from work and that I have
no job; so there’s no money?
Since Mr. Benson has a little compassion on John
the first son; there was hunger at home for days and they were not eaten because
their father care not for their well being. John went and asked his father for
money, but his father told him there is no money. John kept on pleading his
father because he has seen where he keeps money in the house.
So his father told him that there is no money
unless when he comes back from where he is going, if he manages to get any
money, he will come and give him to cook.
But since John has already staid hungry since the
previous day and he has seen where his father kept money in the house; he went
and told his mother when his father left home. So his mother asked him to go
and bring the money, but at first John was terrified because he knows what his
dad could do if he discovered. So he said no.
Since he refused, his mother said to him that
hunger will kill him then. After some hours, he couldn’t bear the hunger. So John
stole the money for his mother, they cook and eat. When his father came back in
the night to count the money, he discovered that the some money was missing.
That night he woke all his
family and asked: who among you took my money, so his wife answered saying: do
we know you have money in this house? You told us there is no money because you
were fired; so which money are you talking about, which money again?
He got provoked and beats up everyone and
sends them to sleep outside until when his money is found. So everyone slept
outside, he slept inside alone. When it was morning, they both went inside.
Early in the morning when Mr. Benson left home for his daily duties; Cynthia
went and ask her mother for money. Her mother shouted and insulted her saying: can’t you
see that your mates are getting married? That she’s old enough to get married
and stay in a man’s house. So she told her to go and meet her father.
Cynthia was so depressed because of the way her
family is making her to feel so low and useless. Due to the pressure, Cynthia fell
in love with Caleb at her tender age. Soon afterwards, she broke up with her
boy friend.
One month later, he broke up with her boy
friend Caleb and one of her friends Rosemary invited her to a night club, and
since she was looking for a fast lane to making money so that she won't be asking anything from her parents, she became a prostitute.
After some months she contacted STDs. She
became sick and lonely. Nobody wants to near her even her family hated her with
passion because none of them wanted to contact her sickness.
John and Joseph became an armed robber, they
were caught and sentenced to life imprisonment for ten years with hard labour.
Mr. Benson led his children to a destructive way of life.
