That's voice could only belong to Lucas
I looked over the fence and true to my words; he leaned on his car still looking as handsome as ever.
"When you are done checking me out, tell me"
I huff and opened the booth, he's still as arrogant as ever.
I heard the front door open and James walked out grumbling and frowning
"Why didn't you tell me Lucas is around?" I whispered
"He is? he countered back, eyes darting around. He wouldn't meet my eyes
"I hate you right now"
"It’s fine if you hate me, but I can't have you running away from home every time, we all miss you"
"Do you have a history with this so called Lucas?" Gisela asked from behind, startling us
"Why do you to be everywhere?" I asked
"He's damn cute" she said ignoring me, her eyes glazing over
"Am I that ugly that she has gotten over me so quickly" James asked feeling hurt as we went back inside with the luggage
"No" I was about to say but Gisela beat me to it.
"Yeah, because you're cruel" she replied and got ahead of us so James could see her swaying hips.
"Where did you meet her?" James whispered to me
"She’s my roommate" I whispered back to him, fighting the urge to laugh
After Dinner, I retired to my room leaving the girls with mum.
I opened my windows and came face to face with Lucas on the other side. He has obviously been waiting for me in his balcony
"Ugh........why does your face keep popping everywhere?"
"When will you stop avoiding me" he asked so softly I almost couldn't hear him.
"When I stop seeing your face everywhere I go" I snapped and closed the windows back
Everything is just tiring; Lucas and I had dated throughout high school. In the school prom dance, he also stood me up for a junior. I got to find out later he's been cheating on me making me look like a fool and for that I hate him so much
"Can I hit on that cute guy?" Gisela asked as we sat in my king-sized bed
"If you want" I scoffed
"Really??" she squealed and did a happy dance on the bed
"Are you okay?" Cam asked quietly
"Yes" I nodded and fell back on the bed
"When are we getting a Christmas tree" Gisela asked
"Probably next week"
Chris walked in excitedly "mum said we're going to get Christmas tree next week"
"That's nice hunnie, who's taking us?"
She looked at me like I've suddenly grown two heads "it's either you or James, mum said we are all going"
"ohhh"
"Yeah, goodnight" she yawned and left
"Can I make a list of things we should do for Christmas?"
"Yes, go ahead not like I can stop you"
THE FOLLOWING WEEK
We went outside to the car so we can get to the mall early.
Lucas was outside washing his father's car.
"Hey" Gisela shouted at him trying to flirt
"Hey back" he replied flashing a sexy smile
my heart melted at his smile, I've missed him so much
"Can you show me around town" She asked
"Yes, but only if it's today"
"Okay no problem" she replied and turned to us "you guys should go on without me"
My mouth dropped opened in shock, Cam also had the same reaction
"Marie, isn't getting Christmas tree the first on your list?" I asked
"Yeah but love can make you do the unthinkable"
I stormed into the car, fighting the first wave of jealousy
