Chapter 3
"Oh my goodness, why did you come out the exact time I'm feeding" Dixon lamented carrying Pat back to the room and splashed water on her face
She woke up with a start and scrambled away from Dixon in fear.
"Get away from me you Monster, you are an animal. What exactly are you? A blood sucking vampire? She asked reaching down to pick her clothes and put them on in a rush
"Pat, please sit down let me explain. I rarely drink human blood. Please don't leave me too." Dixon begged
"I can't believe I gave my virginity to a vampire, you are a monster and you'll always be an animal" She shouted picking up her bag and made for her shoe when Dixon touched her.
"Aaaahhhhhhh..........!" she released an ear deafening scream and ran away leaving her shoes.
She ran all the way home in tears ignoring the weird looks people gave her.
"This is all your fault Sonny!!" she screamed pushing Sonny in rage as she opened the door for her
"What is it? What is my fault? And why are you like this? Sonia asked
"Don't pretend you don't know anything" She said advancing on Sonia like an predator to a prey
"Stop beating round the bush and tell me what's going on" Sonia said, knowing her bestie has anger issues, she moved back but with every step she took, Pat moved three steps forward. She stopped moving back when her back touched the wall. She could already feel Pat's breath on her.
"Pat please stop this, you're making me scared" Sonia cried out in fear
"If you hadn't taken me to the pub or took me closer to the so called handsome dude making me bump on him, all these wouldn't have happened" Pat shouted tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"What happened" Sonia whispered
"He slept with me, we made out"
"Is that why you are crying?" Sonia asked surprised
" No, I fell in love with him, though it might sound stupid but it's true, I've never felt that way with Jake ever since we've been dating" Pat replied
"That's good news, you finally got over Jake" Sonia said smiling a little "but that's not all isn't it?' she asked looking at her friend with wary.
"No" Pat replied shaking her head and sat down abruptly on the floor.
"He's a vampire" she whispered and broke down in tears.
Sonia's eyes widened in terror as she processed what her friend said.
"A- are y-y-you sure?" She asked stuttering, words failing her for the first time.
"I saw him this morning in the Kitchen, drinking from a deer, and he didn't deny it, Gawd how can I be so naive??" Pat said crying harder "I gave him my virginity" she added.
Sonia couldn't help but feel sorry for her best friend; she rubbed her back soothingly as she cried on her shoulder.
Dixon went to a bar to drown all his sorrows in a drink or maybe drinks.
"Why didn't I feed outside?? Oh yes, I didn't want her to leave when she wakes up and finds out I'm not in the house. Now she left me for real. I thought I've finally found love" He lamented, his heart bleeding.
"Jose, wherever you are I curse you with every fiber of my being, every blood in my body. You'll never find peace for turning me this way!" he shouted drawing attention to himself.
He stood up and made his way to Pat's house drunkenly singing at the top of his voice.
He knocked at the door with flowers in his left hand and a bottle of alcohol in his right, if in his drunken state, he seems aware of what he's doing. He's coming to beg Pat to accept him the way he is.
Sonia opened the door and frowned immediately, "Pat you have a visitor" the called out, taking in the drunk state of the fellow standing in front of her.
"What Sonia, I'm disappointed in you, you called me to see a monster" Pat said disapprovingly and slammed the door walking away.
Dixon continued Knocking for minutes, when he realized no one is gonna open the door, he went home with two missions in his heart, Write a letter and commit suicide.
"Pat, why don't you hear him out and listen to what he had to say before concluding" Sonia said trying to convince Pat.
"Don't you understand? I love him too much to go back; these past days have been hell for me. Eventually, I'm gonna grow old and die, he'll still be alive and will marry another person. I can't be with him forever and I hate it and blood drinking? It’s so unheard of." Pat replied
"I'll leave you to think about it well" Sonia said heading to her room. "And Pat?" She called out, "I'll do anything for love" she concluded entering her room.
"What do I do" Pat thought heading to her room with tears.
