Last chapter
Pat went up the stairs to his room and saw his diary. She opened the first page which says "I love going to the lake in the forest behind my house, that way no one would know I'm within my house premises if they're looking for me.
"This is what I need" she thought as she took to her heels immediately, praying in her heart it's not too late. She kept moving straight down in the forest till she got to a clearing and saw the lake in view. She saw Dixon with his back to her raising his hands up to stab himself, the silver knife glinting in the sun.
"Wait" She shouted her voice ringing and walked to him
"Don't do this, did you even think about me at all?" She asked
"I....iiii....."He stuttered unable to meet her eyes
"I'm ready to accept you and our love" She said interrupting him.
"Really?" He asked surprised
"Yeah but on one condition"
"What condition?" he asked anxiously, "I'll do anything for you" he added.
"You see dear lover, I'm a very jealous and selfish being, I don't like sharing. Turn me so I can be with you forever" She replied
"What? Are you insane?" he asked incredulously
"No I'm not, it's either you turn me or you lose me" she said defiantly.
"Choose one" she spat at him waiting
"I know I'm doing the right thing. Thank you Mama" she thought as Dixon brought out his fangs to bite her.
EIGHT HOURS LATER,
She woke up feeling different and thirsty for blood.
"Here, take this" Dixon said giving her a cup filled with red substance.
"It’s my blood" he added when he saw her looking at the cup skeptically.
"Fine, I know I signed up for this" She said with a sigh collecting the cup and gulped down its content in a rush.
"I have something to say, I'm pregnant" she said smiling
"Wow" Dixon screamed excitedly," Thank you so much for this gift" he said pulling her into a hug.
"Hey Dixon it’s okay, you're crushing me" Pat said, her words muffled by his clothes
"Sorry" Dixon replied quickly disengaging from the hug looking down at the woman beside him with so much love. "This woman has done so much for me, giving me her v-card, her love, sacrificing herself for me and now finally gave me a child, it's only fair enough I pay her back with everything I have" He thought.
She stared at him too smiling clearly glad she finally gave him a reason to live.
"Thanks mum, I'm so happy my heart could burst with joy"
"Ahem..........." someone coughed from behind.
"Do I really need to teach you everything Pat?” Sonia asked sitting beside Pat
"What is it again?" Pat groaned.
"Gosh....... I'm supposed to be babysitting you so I can teach you all the things you need. As I was saying, that is no way to give a news about pregnancy" Sonia said disapprovingly
"Really?” But Dixon did not complain" Pat whined
"How do you expect him to? He wouldn't want to hurt your feelings. Have you forgotten I'm always right?" Sonia said wriggling her eye brows.
She looked at Dixon in time to see him rolling his eyes.
"Yes, the ever right Sonny" Pat agreed.
"Anyway I'm happy for you two, glad you followed your heart." Sonia said.
"Yeah thanks Best" Pat said hugging her.
"Hey look, the moon is up" Pat said excitedly
"Oh no, a symptom of pregnancy hormones" Sonia muttered under her breath
"It is not, I'm just excited to see it." Pat replied glaring at Sonia
"By the moon and stars, and Sonia being here as a witness, I promise to give you everything, be with you in time of trouble, weakness and happiness, never to leave you" Dixon said holding Pat's hands.
"And me too" Pat said, eyes glistening with unshed tears at his words and kissed him to seal their promise.
"Awwwn so romantic, but childish" Sonia cooed in their ears.
"This feels perfect" Pat said holding hands with Dixon and Sonia.
"Yes it is" both agreed with her looking at the moon.
