Review from the last episode
"Please, you don't understand, I have to see him".
"There's nothing I can do ma'am, we can't bring him out against his will" he replied and walked out.
I went back home and cried harder, accepting all the blames from imaginary people and his home appliances.
Evans
Two days later, I was surprisingly ushered out of the room I was kept, yesterday too I was provided with nice meal though I couldn't eat them.
"The person who ordered for my release must be a very notable person" I wondered
I was led outside where I saw Sharron looking thinner than before and disheveled. "Nice to see this really affected her" I thought squinting at her under the sun.
The way she looks now, so fragile and vulnerable with her head down, reminds me of someone I know from the past.
As we got closer, she raised her head up to look at me. I saw tears pooled in her eyes and it made me want to reach out to her and tell her I'm not mad at her anymore but I restrained myself even though it took every ounce of my will instead I avoided eye contact and entered the car, sitting on the owner's seat.
She got in and sat beside me. I was about asking who would drive the car when a policeman entered
"I'll be your chauffeur for now" he said and ignited the engine driving off
I faced the window, looking out as people bustled around completely ignoring her and planning to do that throughout the drive home
Sharron
When I saw Evans come out, I was so excited and almost rushed to hug him but stopped when I remembered all I'd done. The past three days without him and been hell. I couldn't sleep not eat.
As he got closer I noticed the bruises on his body and let out an involuntary gasp. But when I saw him looking at me, I bowed my head, trying to look very sorry for accusing him wrongly.
When he got to me, I almost teared up as I took on the state of his body.
In the car too, he didn't even look at me, all he did was stare out. "This is the worst drive ever" I cried in my mind
"Evans……" I tried calling out when my phone rang
I picked and hit loudspeaker, so as to break the silence in the car
📞 "Won't little brother get a thank you?"
📞"no not yet" I replied and removed it from loud speaker when I heard his voice
📞" That's too bad, I'll never help you out again" he whined.
At times I do wonder if he has really grown up and went to the police school because of his attitude
📞"My Client isn't as good as new as you claimed he would be" I said weakly
📞"Sorry about that, maybe the instructions came too late, besides are you okay?" he asked worriedly
I spared a glance at Evans and found him staring at me with furrowed brows but looked away quickly when I caught him 📞"No I'm not, and don't bother coming, I'm going to be fine"
📞"How do you know I was going to say that?"
📞"Blood?"
📞"Okay, fine, please do take care of yourself, we don't need mum coming over to visit you and send my regards to Steve
📞" Okay, bye"
📞" Yeah, bye"
We're here; our temporary chauffeur broke again the growing silence
"Evans, I'm so sorry" I said after him as we entered the living room
"You have nothing to be sorry for, I'm just a fool for trusting you. Kindly do me a favor pack your belongings and leave this house and don't worry much, I'll pay you your salary for six months. You've obviously done a good job. He said and went to his room. Slamming the door hard, "that's to show how angry he is and very soon music will blare from his speakers loudly".
"My goodness!!" how do I know this?" I asked myself alarmed
And true to my words, Music blared from the speakers angrily
