"My goodness!!" how do I know this?" I asked myself alarmed
And true to my words, Music blared from the speakers angrily.

After what felt like a thousand hours, I finally heard the knock I've been waiting for. Listening to music always help cool my nerves especially when I'm angry and confused.
"Come in" I yelled after five minutes of her knocking and me pretending not to hear due to the loud music
"Evans please can you reduce the volume and listen to wait I want to say" she asked timidly still standing by the door and fidgeting from one foot to another.
I decided to listen to her and reduced the volume, then raised my eyebrows inquisitively at her
"I'm so sorry" she blurted out nervously
"For?"
"For what you went through"
"There's no need to be sorry about anything, besides you did your job well"
She pursed her lips and clearly swallowed back whatever she was about to say.
Sharron
I had packed my belongings back into the duffel bag I brought and went to say goodbye to Evans. But he made me stay five minutes knocking, my knuckles are already raw and in pain
"I'm so sorry" I blurt out nervously
"For??" he asked
Seriously!!
Is this guy naive or what?
"For what you went through" I replied, trying to see where this is heading to
"There's no need to be sorry about anything, besides you did your job well"
That hit me really hard.
This guy doesn't know what I've been through, I'm not about to lose someone and let the culprit get away with it.
But I'm gonna calm down, so I counted one to ten backwards and pursed my lips to swallow my comeback response.
"I understand you're angry" I started calmly” but please forgive me for accusing you wrongly, that's the only thing I ask for"
"You look like a desperate mistress that you initially claimed to be, ooops! I said that loud"
Now I don't give a damn anymore, I'm just gonna said my mind and get out of here hopefully never to see him again or come across him in my quest
I glared daggers at him preparing him for what I'm about to say "I'm done crying and trying to get your forgiveness. Fuck your forgiveness. If you were in my shoes, wouldn't you have done what I did or even more. I'm not gonna allow this just slide by even with the mistake I did with you. Someone is out there, roaming about the street freely after what he'd done to my best friend and you think I'm gonna let him stay long, with him threatening my life?? Hell no!! I'll do whatever it takes to bring him down even it the takes me to accuse 10 people wrongly before I get him then fine I'll gladly do it. I spurned on my feet and made for the door, my body till vibrating with anger.
"Wait" I heard him say but since my ears love playing tricks on me, I continued my journey to the door

"What was Stan trying to say? And I don't why I don't believe him besides the Stan I know can't even kill a mosquito so how come he knows about Jessica's death?" I asked myself under the shower.
The cold water clearing my head and relaxing my tight muscles a bit. My phone rang from the room jolting me out of thoughts. I ran outside not bothering with the towel. I wouldn't miss Sharron's call for anything.
I answered the call on the third ring, a little breathless. "Seems my blood pressure is high" I thought
📞"Hello dear"
📞" Dear? “The voice asked
I removed the phone from my ear at looked at the caller's I.D
📞" oh sir, Good evening"
📞"Evening, I haven't gotten the goods I ordered for which is so unlike you, what is going on?"
📞" Nothing sir, just preoccupied with some things, I'll have my delivery boy deliver them to you at the warehouse"
📞 "Okay good" he said and hanged up
"Well if Sharron wouldn't call, that's doesn't mean I shouldn't call right?" y asked myself before dialing her number. It rang the first time and wasn't answered; I hit redial, the same thing.
"Why isn't she answering?? Or is she up to something else? I really need to put her tail off Jessica's death; I'll do the investigation myself"
I called three times more and got the same result, "she couldn't have known right?" I shook the thought off and called my private detective instead
📞"James, I need you to run some underground investigation on the death of someone called Jessica, I email you all I need you to find out
📞"Okay"
📞"any leads on who my sis is?"
📞"no not yet but hopefully we'll get a lead very soon
📞"okay" I replied and end the call
I let my mind wander off to Sharron again and children she's taking care of
