"See him" Jess said, her lips quivering in what could only be excitement. " That's the handsome dude I was talking about" she said excitedly, her eyes shone with admiration
" Is my dress okay?? What about my make up?? Ohmagawd, my stomach is fluttering with so many butterflies. I'm so nervous to walk up to him, how do I introduce myself?" She added feeling nervous
" Let me practice on you, Okay....... Ummm..... Hi handsome" she said flashing a wide smile
" How's that? Is it okay? What about my smile?? Is it too small??
"Get a grip on yourself Jessica, What hell is wrong with you? Are you gonna ditch me for your so called handsome dude I can't even see? Sharron shouted turning heads of people around them.
"Fine let's go meet him together, he's still at the bar stand sipping a drink" Jess replied
" What??!" Sharron exclaimed " I don't wish to see this dude of yours"
" You don't have a choice" Jess said and took hold of her arm again, leading her towards the bar stand
"Hi" Jess greeted, waving her fingers in the air when they got to him
"Hey ladies" He replied with a smile. "You face looks familiar" he said to Jessica, sparing Sharron only a glance.
"Yeah, we met in Charlie's Pub"
"Oh yes, I remember you now. My name is Evans"
"My name is Jessica and this is my friend Sharron" Jessica said, nudging Sharron to say Hi
" Ummm........ Hi?" Sharron said accessing his looks in just two seconds before looking away
"Nice to meet you girls" he replied "care for a drink?"
" No" Sharron said sharply and walked out of the room leaving Jessica and Evans stunned by her outburst.
"So much for having fun" Jessica muttered under her breath "Hope to see you again Evans" she said flashing him a smile, the multicolored light in the room made her green eyes shine brightly
"Same here Jess, say Hi to your friend for me and here's my card in case"
" Thanks and bye" Jess replied and ran out looking for Sharron.
She saw her exiting the building. "Hey Sharron, wait up for me" She shouted and increased her pace. Fortunately for her, Sharron stood outside waiting for her
"So wanna tell me what all that was about" Jessica said pausing at intervals to catch her breath
"I just don't like him" Sharron replied shrugging
"you just ruined our night out"
"I know"
"What do we do now? We still have seven hours till Dawn"
"Want to know??" Sharron asked, her eyes shining mischievously
"yeah say it" Jess replied nonchalantly
" we'll visit the supermarket for eggs, tissues and spray paint then we'll go say hi to some folks"
"Oh no" Jess covered her mouth feigning fear but the excitement in her eyes betrayed her
"Oh yes" Sharron smiled, fishing out her debit card and waving it in the air. "We have this"
"let's go bes and don't forget to buy food"
"yhyh, let's get started"
"This is the best version of fun" Jessica shouted into the silent street happily.
A little after six a.m, after dropping Jessica off, Sharron tried to sneak into the back door but found it locked.
"Now I have to use the front door" she thought with dread praying fervently in her heart for Steve to still be asleep.
She opened the door as silently as she could and proceeded up the stairs.
"That was so easy" She said in her mind
"Where are you coming from" Steve said in a dangerously calm voice behind her.
OMG!! Steve caught her sneaking in.
