Next morning, Sharron woke up and looked to her side to check Steve but found it empty. Memories of the day before came back at her as she stared at the ceiling thinking.
"Not even you can stop me to bring that bastard down Steve "she said firmly
She took her bath, prepared her grocery list and made to go to the supermarket. When she opened the door leading outside, she stopped walking abruptly to take in what's she's seeing.
Standing in front of her are armed and able-bodied bodyguards. Ten of them are standing by the gate, five of them are at the entrance and she couldn't see those that are patrolling the compound. "This is too much" she mumbled as fresh tears threatened to pour down her face.
The closest guard turned to look at her as the opened the door. A flicker of surprise ran through his eyes before hardening as he took in the fragile lady standing in front of him.
"Good day ma'am, we were ordered not to let you leave the compound under any circumstances" He said
"B...but I want to go to the supermarket"
"Give me the grocery list, I'll send the messenger boy to get what you need for you"
"How much did he pay you to stand as a guard?"
"I don't understand ma'am"
"My name is Sharron please not ma'am, I guess he forgot to tell you that. How much did my husband, Steve, pay you for this?"
"We’re not to disclose anything to you ma'am Sharron"
"I'm ready to pay you triple, just let me out of the house. I'm a woman for goodness sake, a house wife even. I can't be grounded like a toddler".
"As tempting as that offer is madam, we have our reputation to keep, now may I have the list"
"No" She shouted and spurned on her heels, heading back to the room while she shook in anger
"You gonna pay for this you bastard, to hell with love, if you really love me you won't have me grounded. Arrrrghh......." She screamed so loud her throat hurts.
"While we are at this game, let me try to decode Jess letter" she thought as she took calming breath.
After thirty minutes of fruitless search round the house looking for the reports, she went back to her room and took her laptop muttering thanks to heavens.
She had scanned the results and sent them to her other mail.
She looked at the screen in front of her in shock, all her incoming message and draft has been cleared. That means the call logs and audios Leonard sent as been cleared. Muttering another thanks, she logged in to her other mail account and found all the documents there un touched.
"Who knows my hotmail account details and logged in to delete my messages or who hacked it rather" she wondered.
Deciding to listen to the audio first, she plugged in her ear piece to the laptop and put them in her ear and clicked on the first audio

"What are you going to do with what you found out, Jess?"
“Just going to send them to your wife and release them to the press. you know you're a notable figure, your reputation will painted with mud very soon"
"You must be crazy, why would you do that?"
"I'm going to do that because the world needs to know what you are, you're going to lose that election. Bet it with me. Just give me a month, by then I'll be through with you"
“Jess please, don't do that, I'll do whatever you want" the voice whimpered
"Okay, send a million dollars to the charity every month and tell your mistress you have a wife, then I'll reconsider"
"You’re indeed crazy, you stupid slut"
"Did you just find that out?" Jess replied mockingly
"I'll deal with you" the voice said with rage.....

"Wooow..... That’s one hell of a threat." Sharron said and removed the earpiece to mull over what she heard.
"Who’s Es? He has a gruff voice, could it be that he disguised it or that's his real voice? What election is she talking about? As far as I know, Evans isn't competing for anything, he seem content."
"What am I even saying, sure it's Evans, that's what the E stands for and he disguised his voice"
She proceeded to listen to the second time when she heard the door downstairs open and close. That means one thing, Steve is home.
She quickly logged out of the mail and closed the page and was about to unplug the earpiece when Steve entered the room.
"What are you doing?" he asked
"I was watching a movie since your dogs won't let me go out" she replied scowling
"I had to do that" he said and removed his tie
"Where're the reports Steve? She asked and noticed he stilled for a moment.
"I.... I dunno what you're talking about" he answered not meeting her eyes
"Thought as much, my lovely husband wouldn't tamper with what would uncover the mystery behind Jess death all in the name of love"
He sighed obviously relieved and didn't notice the sarcasm in her voice
"Thank God I lied about watching a movie" she thought inwardly
"Steve.... "She started to say but was interrupted by her phone
"Yes Sharron on the line"
"Hello my dear mistress, I didn't see you yesterday. You failed to keep your promise so I'm here outside your door to pick you up. We need you to start your job immediately" Evans said on the phone
Her hands stilled as she glanced up and saw Steve looking at her with a frown.
Then she understood, the phone had been on speaker.
