A Memorable Christmas - Episode 5

I heard someone chuckle behind me, my eyes flew opened and I found a pair of blue eyes staring back at me. I screamed and scrambled back only feel myself flailing to the ground. Thankfully, the dry leaves cushioned my fall
"What the hell!" I shouted and it made the person laugh even more.
"gawd! I've missed you so much" the person said.
I felt a smile creeping up to my face but stopped it as fast as it came
"Show your face" I said calmly
He jumped down from the tree and faced me directly
"Why do your face keep popping everywhere?" I asked irritatedly
"Maybe it's fate"
I scoffed loudly and eyed him "Wait, if you're here, who disvirgined my eyes?"
"That would me my cousin, Arden"
I felt disappointed it wasn't him, we stared at each other in awkward silence
"why are you here" I asked
"I missed us, that's why I came here" he replied
I searched his eyes for any sign of insincerity but found none so I stared at my feet instead
"Let’s go out on the twenty fourth, that's Christmas eve and of course your friends can come along if you want granted my cousin can follow us.
He's asking me out!!! My heart leaped for joy but I looked at him skeptically, not giving him the satisfaction of seeing how happy I am "I'll think about it " I answered and walked out.
"Arii!!! Breakfast is ready!" mum shouted waking me up from my sleep. I freshened up and went to downstairs.
Cam and James were laughing at something in his phone while Gisela was braiding Chris's hair and dad as usual is reading a novel.
"Morning mum" I greeted as I entered the kitchen
"You mean afternoon?" she chuckled and came over to kiss my cheeks
"Oh right afternoon mom" I said and slid into a stool as mum put a plate of hamburger in my front. I gobbled it down within minutes and went back to the sitting room
"Gisela what's the next thing on your list?"
She stood up instantly and hurried to my side "let's build a snowman this night just like in frozen and after then, we'll go to Christmas carol on the twenty third. Chris said one would be holding up in the cathedral church
"Okay then, Camille your attention is needed"
"What about me?" Gisela asked
"You stay here and keep my family company for me, except you know you would rather clean my room and wash the toilet with your slender fingers"
"eewww....No" she twisted her face in disgust just the reaction I was hoping "I'd rather stay here and braid Chris's hair all over and over again
"So I've duplicated everyone's wishes, all we have to do is other them" I said to Cam as she plopped on the bed beside me
"Where will we get the money" she asked
"Where else of course" I flashed my dad's debit card
"You’re so dead"
"Don't worry, he wouldn't even notice, there's a lot of money there"
"Let’s get started then, we never know what might happen so it wouldn't be too late" Cam said “when should we set as the delivery date?"
"December twenty fourth by midnight"
We split the papers into two and immediately start ordering online which was so stressful. Searching different websites for a wish that doesn't look like it exists only to find it on a local website after a fruitless search.
By the time we were done it was night time and time for dinner.
"This is so tiring and it's worth it" Cam said grinning
"Yeah, totally worth it, can't wait to see the look on their face" I agreed with her.
We sat on the table eating and others chattering away while I thought of how to break the news to them.
"Attention!!!" I called using my spoon to hit the glass cup
I cleared my throat..."Um, I and the girls including James won't be around for dinner on Christmas Eve, we'll be spending some hours of the night out. Lucas is taking us out"
The table went silent as a grave; everyone's went agape in shock.
"What???!!"I squirmed uncomfortably in my seat, still no reaction from even Chris's mouth was wide open
